Gabe attended the University of Saint Francis where he played on the golf team. Knowing early on that he wanted to be a Head Golf Professional at a private club he decided to transfer to Ferris State University. Gabe tried out and was one of two people to successfully qualify (walk on) for the golf team.
After graduating with a degree in Professional Golf Management, he was an assistant at Naperville CC, Ravisloe CC, and Prestwick CC. His first Head Professional position was at The County Club of Beloit in 1995. After spending 7 years at Beloit Gabe accepted the Head Professional position at Green Acres where he spent 15 years.
Throughout his career in the private club industry and for the last 6 years with NLG Gabe has given over 20,000 lessons. He has attended several PGA Teaching and Coaching Summits and many other educational opportunities offered through the PGA of America in regards to teaching golf. Some of the instructors include David Leadbetter, Hank Haney, Jim McClean, Bob Toski, and Martin Hall to name a few. Gabe is also a certified Ping Fitter. Gabe enjoys tapping into his many years in golf to help people improve all aspects of their game!
